Volunteer role - Central Time Keeper

Instructions

Central Time Keeper position will work two games for each shift in a team of 3 volunteers (FHS) or 2 volunteers (DMS).

1. Each airhorn person will have a laminated airhorn time sheet on when to sound the airhorn.

2. Team of 3 (FHS) or 2 (DMS) will communicate on walkies on their own channel to sound the horn in unison.

3. Team of 3 (FHS) or 2 (DMS) will spread out over the facility when it's time to sound the horn so all fields can clearly hear the horn.

4. Place airhorn straight up in the air when it's time to sound the horn. Do not shake or turn the horn upside down as that will make the horn lose its effectiveness.

5. Air horn team will blow the horn at: start of game (1x), half time (1x), 2 minute warning (2x), and end of game (1 long horn).

Shift end early?

If your assigned game or task ends early and you find yourself without something to do — please don’t leave. We count on all volunteers to fulfill their full 2-hour shift.

Simply return to the Volunteer Check-In table and let us know you’re available — there’s always something that needs doing, and we’ll point you in the right direction.

Your time and effort truly make a difference.

Thank you for your help in making the Viking Goat a success!
