Overview of our 2023 season...

·         March 16th, 2023 @ 6:30 – Parent Meeting, Boeckman Middle School cafeteria

·       March 23rd, 6-7:15 pm @ FHS cafeteria -- apparel fitting, volunteer and fundraiser check drop off if you missed the 3/16 parent meeting

·        March 29th @ 6-8 pm -- Boys 14U Tryouts will be held at the Dundas Dome in Northfield

·         April 10th, 2023 - mid May. Practices begin at Schmitz-Maki.

  •    Boys Monday/Tuesday, Girls Wednesday/Thursday
  •       Boys 8U & 10U: 6-7 pm, 12U: 7-8 pm, 14U: 8-9 pm
  •       Girls 10U 6-7 pm, 12U & 14U 7-8 pm

·         April 15th, 2023 7-10 pm RE-LAX Community Fundraiser Beer Bash.  Celts Pub Farmington.                         

·         April 25th -- Boys 10U & 12U tryouts/evaluations

10U @ 6-7:30 pm, 12U 7:30-9 pm at Schmitz-Maki arena

·        Saturday, May 6th 8-11 am Mouth guard clinic @ Minnesota Orthodontics

·         Girls Youth Day: Thursday, May 11th, game starts @ 5:30

·         Boys Youth Day: Friday, May 19th, game starts @ 7:30

·         June 3-4th, 2023 Viking Goat Tournament

·         June 6th, team pictures 5:30-7:45, during practice @ FHS

·         June 23-25th, 2023 Prior Lake Tournament

·         Boys YLM 8U/10U End of Season Jamboree Weekend, TBD

·         2023  Boys YLM District/Sectional playoffs, TBD

·         2023 Girls MSLAX Summer Tournament, July 28-30th in Maple Grove

·         2023 Boys YLM Championship Weekend, July 28-30th

Mission Statement:

The Farmington Youth Lacrosse Association (FYLA) is a not-for-profit organization whose objectives are to encourage, promote, and foster the growth of lacrosse for the youth of Farmington and surrounding areas. FYLA seeks to provide youth with a positive character building experience by honoring and respecting the sport and traditions of lacrosse. FYLA will provide a quality lacrosse program that encourages sportsmanship, skill development, and friendly competition.

Benefits of FYLA:

  • Community centered program focused on athlete development.
  • Head coaches are experts in lacrosse typically with lacrosse experience at the college and high school levels.
  • Indoor Spring training at Schmitz-Maki Arena.
  • All teams participate in several local tournaments throughout the summer.
  • Work directly with Farmington High School Lacrosse program to teach and ensure that skills gained from FYLA will directly translate to high school program.
  • Youth teams from FYLA are typically viewed as some of the top competitors in the state of Minnesota.
  • Top level skill development at reasonable costs.
  • Consistent practice schedules during the summer to allow planning for vacations and weekends.

Registration typically opens in February and the season runs from the beginning of April to the beginning of August.
